ABOUT THE PLAY

A Festive Family Christmas Classic

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. An ensemble of five actors, with the help live sound effects, brings a few dozen characters to life on the stage, sharing the story of idealistic George Bailey as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

Facts About The Play

  • Ranked as the #1 Most Inspirational Movie of All Time by the American Film Institute (2006).

  • Both the film and this play are based on “The Greatest Gift”, a short story by author and editor Philip Van Doren Stern. Unable to find a publisher, Stern originally printed 200 copies and sent them to friends as Christmas cards.
