Welcome to our 2026 Mainstage Season! This year is filled with dynamic stories that showcase the breadth of what Iowa Stage can do!
In The Seagull, witness the tangled loves, artistic ambitions, and generational clashes that unfold when a group of family and friends gather at a country estate. June brings I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire, a sharply funny and heartfelt story following a young woman’s obsessive quest for connection, derailed and reshaped by her fixation on a Hollywood star. In October, Reefer Madness dives into the cult classic whirlwind of hysteria, temptation, and satire as it explores the chaos sparked by a single puff of “dangerous” weed. End the year with a magical adaptation of A Christmas Carol, where we see Scrooge discover the strength in community in this holiday classic. ​
