FAQs

What’s different about Iowa Stage Theatre Company?

ISTC is the only theater producer in central Iowa with a Resident Artist Company, a group of artists who are committed to our work of transforming Iowa’s arts, artists and community. This talented group partners with other artists in the community to offer a diversity of theater you won’t find anywhere else in town.

What is Scriptease?

Scriptease is ISTC’s play reading series, which takes place in conjunction with our mainstage shows. Learn more here.

When are the plays?

Our plays run from September to June. See the full season and performance schedule here.

Why is Shakespeare separate in the season ticket packages?

Shakespeare on the Lawn is presented by Salisbury House and Gardens, and is therefore distinct from our shows at the Stoner Theater. We are proud to have partnered with Salisbury House on this summer tradition for years. Learn about this year's Shakespeare production here.
